This model has been in hot debate with collectors but should be officially recognised as an original street model despite the fact that they were actually a hybridised box. The cabinets were flag models that have had an asbestos/concrete dome roof' retro-fitted to them. Roofs even as early as the k3 models era (imported british models that the asbestos/concrete roof first appeared on) have been used all the way up to the readily available temperate dome roof model in the later part of the 1950-60's era.

Here we have a great example of the earliest form of a Victorian Heritage model featuring the early 1900's K3 asbestos/concrete domed roof with steel ventillation plates. The Flag Model used was the 1930's Tasman Flag Model with hardwood floor.

We could only assume that being in Victoria most of the parts were still coming from Sydney, so due to the parts shortages and cost cutting the more expensively maintained flag roof was replaced with the more readily available Temperate Model domed roof or leftovers from the K3 Models days.
