The almighty Red Telephone Box is making a huge comeback in the world of collectables! These old boxes were being destroyed in their hundreds until 15 years ago when they started to become popular as garden ornaments for large properties or houses set in a colonial style. In the past 10 years the demand on the humble red telephone box has grown given that there are fewer than 1000 of these oldies left in Australia. Now people are snapping up these relics from the past and using them as advertising for small business, features for bars and clubs, functional garden ornaments, theme restaurant displays, museums and the list goes on....... Not only are these people buying and using a great functional display piece, but they are also preserving our age old telephony history dating back over 100 years.
